Welcome to 99 Fishing Guide.
There are a few ways to go from 1-99 fishing. There are cheap, fast ways and their are ways that can make you a lot of runescape cash.
First we will go through the cheap, fast ways.
This is the fastest way to get 99 fishing in the game.(no profit at all!)
Levels 1- 20
In these levels you should fish shrimp and anchovies.(start anchovies at level 15) The most efficient place to do this at is the fishing spot by dranyor bank
Levels 20 - 48
You fish trout and salmon through these levels.(salmon at level 30) I suggest ether shilo village or barbarian village for this.
Levels 48 - 99
Through these levels you will be doing what is called heavy fishing. you will be fishing leaping trout, leaping salmon, and leaping sturgeon. You fish these just northeast of where you start the waterfall quest or the whirlpool to get to the mithril dragons. You can ether drop the fish or bring a knife to cut them up for bait. This method can get you from 50 - 60k exp an hour.
This is a fast way were you can make a bit of money off it.
Levels 1 - 20
In these levels you should fish shrimp and anchovies.(start anchovies at level 15) The most efficient place to do this at is the fishing spot by dranor bank
Levels 20 - 99
You fish trout and salmon through these levels.(salmon at level 30) this is the second fastest method. you also get a small amount of money (around 10 mill) There are 2 good places to do this. One place is just southwest of the fishing guild. you fish them and go sell them to the merchant just north of the fishing spot. I think the best way is shilo village. you get to bank all of your fish here and its faster then selling them or dropping them. You can get from 40-45k exp an hour.
These 2 ways are not to slow and you can make good money
Levels 1 - 20

Levels 20 - 40 or 62
You fish trout and salmon through these levels.(salmon at level 30) I suggest ether shilo village or barbarian village for this.
Levels 40 / 62 - 99
With this method you ether fish lobsters from level 40 or monkish from level 62. They are both about the same exp.(30-40k an hour) bur you can get 20 mill+ with these methods.
You start to fish lobsters at Catherby. Then at level 68 (or 63 with admiral pie) you move to the fishing guild and fish the rest to 99
For monkfish you have to go to the piscatoris fishing colony.You must to swan song to get in.
This is the slowest but you get the most money.
Levels 1 - 20

Levels 20 - 40
You fish trout and salmon through these levels.(salmon at level 30) I suggest ether shilo village or barbarian village for this.
Levels 40 - 76
You fish lobsters during these levels. You start to fish lobsters at catherbey. Then at level 68 (or 63 with admiral pie) you move to the fishing guild.
Levels 76 - 99
Now this will be the most boring time of your life, but it is worth it. You can make 100 mill+ from this way. You fish sharks. You can fish these at the fishing guild.
